Coastal Navigation Course

Irish Sailing Coastal Navigation for Small Boats

This course offers a great introduction to navigation and safety awareness for new or inexperienced skippers and crew, and those wanting to refresh their skills. In fact, it is for anyone interested in sailing, motor boating, sea angling or diving, and works well in complementing our on-the-water National Powerboat and Advanced Powerboat levels, and Introductory and Competent Crew sailing courses.

Aim: The aim of Irish Sailing’s Coastal Navigation course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely navigate a boat by day and by night in coastal waters with which they are familiar.
